The weather in Mauritius island is always fine for holidays throughout the year; whatever the season the sunlight is always present with a warm and mild temperature. You can choose your vacation at any time of the year you will be sure to enjoy an awesome holiday. The warmest months of the year are January and February. during those months a cyclone can occur but its a very rare phenomenon.

Summer is from November to April and winter is from May to October. Both seasons have usually a nice weather like in summer. The weather in winter is cooler and nicer for those who can’t support the warmest temperatures of January and February,you will love winter in Mauritius and still get their beautiful tan from the hot sunny days.
 
Usually the weather in Mauritius Island has no extreme difference from summer to winter. The cold region more like mild temperature is on the central plateau. The central plateau is also the region of Mauritius which receives more rainfalls.
 
In winter the weather is most of the time humid and warm, the temperature in the coastal areas is around 24°C and the central plateau around 18°C but during the night the temperature goes sometimes a few degrees down. Of course, it is never as cold as in Europe.

Best time to Travel to Mauritius
 
The best time to travel to Mauritius is during the cooler months of the year. May to mid October these months generally have plenty of sunshine, lower humidity levels and less rain than during the summer months.

During August and September you'll be pleased to learn that the average daytime maximum temperatures is around 23-26°C. At night, the minimum temperature hovers around 15-17°C.
However, just be aware that both July and August are the windiest months of the year. So if you think that this is not the best time to visit Mauritius, then plan to arrive in mid September or October. By November, you'll find that it's quite hot and humid on the coast.
